Principal Scientist
Role
Enodia Therapeutics is looking for an experienced and scientifically rigorous Principal Scientist to provide recognized scientific expertise across our discovery and preclinical programs and shape scientific approaches to complex questions involving target biology, drug mechanisms and selective Sec61 inhibition.
The successful candidate will integrate multidisciplinary evidence, influence scientific direction and methodologies across projects, and guide experimental strategy for complex target biology and drug discovery questions.
Working across interdisciplinary project teams, the Principal Scientist will provide scientific leadership through expertise, critical thinking and evidence-based recommendations, while contributing to program-level decisions and the advancement of Enodia’s growing pipeline.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the scientific strategy and cross-functional efforts to build a robust preclinical data package that successfully transitions candidates into clinical development.
- Provide recognized cross-project scientific expertise and influence scientific approaches, methodologies and complex problem-solving.
- Shape experimental strategy for complex target biology and drug discovery questions and guide the selection and integration of relevant models, assays and technologies.
- Integrate complex and multidisciplinary scientific data to generate hypotheses, challenge assumptions and guide program-level recommendations and next steps.
- Influence scientific direction across projects by connecting findings to target validation, mechanism of action, therapeutic potential and key project decision points.
- Provide scientific guidance, mentoring and constructive challenge to project teams and less experienced colleagues.
- Communicate complex scientific findings, recommendations, uncertainties and risks clearly to project, senior and relevant external audiences.
- Maintain broad scientific awareness and collaborate with external academic partners, KOLs and CROs where relevant.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- PhD and/or postdoctoral experience in Immunology, Oncology, Tumor Immunology or another field relevant to Enodia’s programs.
- Extensive relevant research experience in biotech/pharma or a comparable academic environment specifically in building datasets in support of IND/CTA submissions.
- Recognized depth and/or breadth of scientific expertise relevant to target biology, drug discovery and preclinical research including preclinical models
- Demonstrated ability to integrate multiple experimental approaches and data types to address complex program-level scientific questions.
- Strong track record of scientific productivity and meaningful contribution to drug discovery or complex research programs.
- Demonstrated ability to influence scientific strategy and decision-making across projects through expertise, critical thinking and evidence-based recommendations.
- Strong scientific leadership, mentoring, communication and collaboration skills, without requiring formal people-management responsibility.
- Excellent command of English, strong autonomy, rigor, effective time management and adaptability.

Research Assistant
Role
Enodia Therapeutics is looking for a resourceful and curious Research Assistant to play an active role in our discovery and preclinical programs, at our Belgian site (Liège).
The successful candidate will contribute to the generation and analysis of high-quality experimental data to advance our drug discovery pipeline toward clinical development while deepening our understanding of target biology, drug mechanisms of action and selective Sec61 inhibition. The role will involve designing, performing and optimizing animal studies, as well as cell-based, biochemical and molecular biology assays and contributing to the implementation of new experimental approaches and strategies.
Working closely with scientists and interdisciplinary project teams, the Engineer II (Research Assistant) will help translate experimental results into actionable insights, support project decision-making and contribute to the advancement of Enodia’s growing pipeline.
The position reports to the Senior Scientist.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform experimental activities (in vitro, ex vivo and in vivo) according to established protocols and ensure quality, traceability and compliance.
- Generate, analyze and interpret experimental data to support project decisions and communicate results to the team.
- Contribute to troubleshooting and optimization of experimental protocols and workflows.
- Conduct literature reviews and contribute to the implementation of novel assays, methods or technologies.
- Document experimental activities and results appropriately.
- Collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams and contribute to a positive working environment.
- Contribute to laboratory organization and ensure appropriate use and maintenance of materials, consumables and equipment.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field.
- Typically 2+ years of relevant hands-on experience in biotech/pharma or a comparable academic environment.
- Hands-on in vivo experience is required. Eligibility to work with laboratory animals in Belgium is mandatory (valid FELASA B certificate or equivalent).
- Practical experience with multicolor flow cytometry, including panel design, data acquisition, and analysis.
- Demonstrated proficiency in cell-based assays, with expertise in primary cell culture, immune cell handling, and multicolor flow cytometry.
- Experience with 3D cell culture models and ex vivo assays is considered an asset.
- Additional experience with techniques such as Western blotting, CRISPR-based tools, and ELISA is highly desirable.
- Ability to execute and troubleshoot experiments independently within a defined scope.
- Ability to contribute to protocol optimization and implementation of new techniques.
- Working knowledge of relevant data analysis tools, such as GraphPad Prism, Excel and cytometry software.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Working closely with scientists and interdisciplinary project teams, the Research Scientist will generate and critically analyze scientific data, translate findings into hypotheses and next steps, support project decision-making and contribute to the advancement of Enodia’s growing pipeline.
The position reports to the Lab Head.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the biology behind targets of interest by monitoring scientific literature and contribute to the development of novel systems to explore their therapeutic potential.
- Design and execute experimental plans aligned with program objectives according to standard operating procedures, with a minimum expected time in the lab of 50%.
- Develop, optimize and validate assays and experimental workflows.
- Generate datasets to support decision-making at all levels of project development.
- Critically analyze, compile and summarize data for presentation at project team meetings.
- Collaborate effectively across functional groups and share biological knowledge and target understanding within interdisciplinary project teams.
- Document experimental activities and results appropriately (ELN, reports, presentations).

Professional Experience / Qualifications

- Strong track record of scientific productivity, including publications, posters or presentations.
- Demonstrated expertise in relevant scientific and experimental approaches.
- Expertise in relevant immunology techniques, including primary cell isolation, immune cell-based assays, advanced flow cytometry and cytokine analysis.
- Understanding of OMICS approaches is an asset; additional relevant scientific skillsets will also be considered.
- Ability to independently design, execute and interpret experimental work within a defined project scope.
- Ability to generate hypotheses and propose experimental approaches and next steps based on results.
