Research Scientist
Role
Enodia Therapeutics is looking for a creative, scientifically curious and rigorous Research Scientist to play an active role in our discovery and preclinical programs.
The successful candidate will develop a deep understanding of the biology of Enodia’s targets and contribute to the design, execution and interpretation of experimental research aimed at advancing our understanding of target biology, drug mechanisms and selective Sec61 inhibition. The role will involve developing and optimizing relevant experimental models, assays and approaches to address key scientific questions.
Working closely with scientists and interdisciplinary project teams, the Research Scientist will generate and critically analyze scientific data, translate findings into hypotheses and next steps, support project decision-making and contribute to the advancement of Enodia’s growing pipeline.
The position reports to the Lab Head.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the biology behind targets of interest by monitoring scientific literature and contribute to the development of novel systems to explore their therapeutic potential.
- Design and execute experimental plans aligned with program objectives according to standard operating procedures, with a minimum expected time in the lab of 50%.
- Develop, optimize and validate assays and experimental workflows.
- Generate datasets to support decision-making at all levels of project development.
- Critically analyze, compile and summarize data for presentation at project team meetings.
- Collaborate effectively across functional groups and share biological knowledge and target understanding within interdisciplinary project teams.
- Document experimental activities and results appropriately (ELN, reports, presentations).
- Demonstrate strong project ownership, proactive problem-solving and a willingness to stay with problems until solutions are found.
- Actively contribute to certain aspects of lab management as required.
Professional Experience / Qualifications
- PhD and/or postdoctoral experience in Immunology or a related field.
- Typically 3+ years of relevant research experience in biotech/pharma or a comparable academic environment.
- Strong track record of scientific productivity, including publications, posters or presentations.
- Demonstrated expertise in relevant scientific and experimental approaches.
- Expertise in relevant immunology techniques, including primary cell isolation, immune cell-based assays, advanced flow cytometry and cytokine analysis.
- Understanding of OMICS approaches is an asset; additional relevant scientific skillsets will also be considered.
- Ability to independently design, execute and interpret experimental work within a defined project scope.
- Ability to generate hypotheses and propose experimental approaches and next steps based on results.
- Commitment to rigorous data generation, analysis and interpretation.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Scientific curiosity and commitment to high-quality research.
- Rigorous and detail-oriented, with effective time management and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Offer
- A stimulating position within a high-potential innovative biotech company.
- The opportunity to work in a science-driven, dynamic, respectful, and professional environment.

About Enodia Therapeutics
Enodia Therapeutics is a French biotechnology company developing best-in-class small-molecule therapeutics based on a novel approach to controlling the production of disease-driving proteins at their source. Founded in 2025 from pioneering research conducted at Institut Pasteur and built with the support of the Argobio venture studio, Enodia brings together expertise in cutting-edge biology, medicinal chemistry, proteomics, structural biology, and artificial intelligence. The company operates across Paris, France, and Liège, Belgium.
At the heart of Enodia’s technology is the selective modulation of Sec61, a central gateway in the biogenesis of secreted and membrane proteins. By exploiting differences in the sensitivity of individual proteins to Sec61 modulation, we aim to selectively control defined sets of disease-relevant proteins while preserving essential cellular functions. This distinctive approach opens new opportunities to address disease-relevant proteins and mechanisms that remain challenging to target with conventional therapeutic strategies.
Enodia is advancing a growing preclinical pipeline across inflammation, immunology, and oncology, with additional opportunities in virology.
In early 2026, Enodia secured €20.7 million in Seed financing, co-led by Elaia, Pfizer Ventures, and Bpifrance, alongside leading French and international investors. This strong financial foundation enables us to advance our pipeline, expand our scientific capabilities, and build the team needed to bring our technology to the next stage of development.
Enodia is now entering an exciting phase of growth, with expanding teams in Paris and Liège. We offer the opportunity to work at the interface of cutting-edge science and drug discovery, collaborate closely across disciplines, and play a meaningful role in shaping both the development of a new therapeutic approach and the future of a growing biotech.
